About

About

As a Permaculture Caretaker, I am the person that lives on-site, helping you design your land with abundance, creativity, and ecology in mind.

I'll be observing and recording aspects of your site: planning earthworks and planting beds based on the flow of water across the landscape; creating a design that integrates human needs into the site's ecology; installing food producing systems; and adjusting it based on feedback.

My background includes owning and operating an organic farm. This operation was focused on growing specialty salad mix, root crops, and garlic for sale to market and restaurants. I've consulted as a permaculture farmer and estate & vineyard gardener, as well as managed a year-round farmers' market. My office background includes experience as an IT Business Analyst, Operations Manager, and Office Manager for agriculture companies.

I'm a student of what I do and passionate about bringing positive change to the land and, by extension, those around me.

Services

Services

  • Creating a site analysis and detailed property map.

  • Building foundational, food production systems that match the 7th Generation Principle.

  • Creating sites that combine functional and ecological qualities. Medicinal gardens; perennial food forests; cottage/kitchen gardens; subsistence farming; woodland gardens; and butterfly & pollinator habitats are key design elements.

  • A tenant of permaculture is a well-designed site takes protracted observation of up to one year.  I recommend a phased approach, which includes observation, design, and installation of the different elements of the whole project. I lead this process while on-site.

  • Training and education are essential to projects I work on. Showing others how to grow food, sharing experiences, learning from one another, and content creation are all expected yields.
